wait, never mind
When I started writing this post this morning, I was going to share how Sarah and Leah had made it through their sickness, then IT happened, but I'll get to that in a minute. So Sarah has made it through her first virus/cold and ear infection. I noticed Christmas Eve that she seemed fussy and a little off. By Sunday she was in full blown sickness. She had a fever, cough, loss of appetite and some tummy issues. After several days of no improvement, I listened to my mommy instinct and took her to the doctor. Well, I'm glad I did and so was the doctor because she needed antibiotics. Today is her last day of antibiotics and she seems mostly better, but we'll know for sure Wednesday when she has a check-up.At the same time Sarah was sick, Leah also had a horrible cough. She had her cough for about a week then she was all better. *This is the surviving part I was talking about* Then came today. I noticed Leah kept saying she was hungry even though she had been eating all morning. While Leah is my best eater out of the three of them, I thought something's not right. Then she started asking for lunch while she was eating a cracker. I told her we were going to get lunch on the way to the store. After eating lunch she insisted again that she was still hungry. So I asked her "Are you sure your hungry or does your tummy hurt?" To which she answered "NO, I'm hungry." Well it wasn't until we were in the store, have way through our shopping, that her story changed from hungry to hurting. When she started quitely moaning and clutching her stomach, then I knew we were in trouble! I made my way to the check out and was standing in line when IT happened. She threw up!!! When I told my hubby what had happened he said "How embarrasing!'' To which I replied "No, not really. There was no body in front or behind me and the cashier just gave me a bag and some paper towels to clean it up." Such is the life of a mother. So while my thoughts this morning were that we survived a sickness, a new one begins. Hopefully not for to long :)
